Dr. Alfaro Hudak received her Master’s in International Development at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh, where she focused on policy analysis and global health. She received her PhD in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2019 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Prior to joining Texas A&M AgriLife in 2023, she was a research scientist in the Public Health Department at NORC at the University of Chicago, where she also was an active member of the Public Health Analytics team. Dr. Alfaro Hudak’s research focuses on how nutrition policies and programs shape the diet- and diet-related health of children and families.
