Links for Water Information

In Texas, many of our natural resources, such as air and water, are shared with Mexico and are affected by rapid economic development, increases in population, and by growth in border trade. Increases in urban water demand, environmental demands, jurisdictional issues of three states and two countries in water allocation add to the complexity in the management of these resources. Research and education in water use efficiency, conservation, salinity, reclaimed water use and agricultural and urban impacts of water reallocation are area's where the Center is working through partnerships to provide effective solutions.
