Extension Center
has been serving the people of far
West Texas
for more than 60 years. It is one of 13
regional centers of the
Texas
A&M University
System's Agricultural Experiment Station, which is among the nation's
premier public agricultural research agencies.
Scientists at the El Paso Center are developing technologies and methods to improve water-use efficiency, increase water supplies and protect water quality. The Center is internationally recognized for its research in waterborne pathogen detection, salinity management, reclaimed water use, application of biosolids and desalination concentrate, ground-surface water management, and evaluation of the economic impacts of technology and policy changes. |
